Just so everybody is clear, I did not do this possum in. I'm not sure what the deal is. It appears that the top of the mailbox was creased by a bullet. Perhaps the possum had decided -- for some unknown possum reason -- to climb up on top of the mailboxes and simply presented too tempting a target for some hillbilly.
Since I rarely see them out during the day, this likely happened the night before.
