Perhaps it may turn out a sang,
Perhaps turn out a sermon.

Bless the Lord

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

-- Psalm 103:1-5

I am swamped today with way too many things going on.  I'm reminded of a child I saw once in a news program about "gifted" children.  Though he was supposed to be very bright, he was not doing well in school.  His response:  "I have horrible time management skills."

That's my excuse, too.  That, and I'm lazy, and I'm only motivated by deadlines.  I like getting stuff done; I just don't care that much about doing it.  Anyway, I got deadlines.

The verse of the day is a rich reminder that the Lord is willing to work in our behalf in all areas of life if we are willing to accept what He is doing with faith and appreciation.  Come to think of it, that isn't so random.  No wonder I woke up with this passage in my head.
