Perhaps it may turn out a sang,
Perhaps turn out a sermon.

Mushroom's Maxims

There is nothing new under the sun. (Solomon) . Just because they are uncredited doesn't mean they are original.

If at all possible, have your grandchildren first.

Life is pretty much what you expect, except for other people.

Most women don’t know what they want; they only know it is not whatever the man suggests.

Journalism is not about truth, facts, fairness or ideology; it is about selling newspapers or getting ratings.

There are people who love money; they are misers. Most people use money to keep score.

Occasionally you may find a lawyer or a hooker with a heart of gold. They are both still prostitutes.

Normal people live in clans. If your family is not a clan, you are in danger of becoming a soccer fan or a gang member.

War is not hell as long as your objective is clear.

Anger is an indication that you do not have the right tool

Tools make the man.

You might forget your pants, but do not forget your knife.

You can’t have too many knives, too many books or too much ammo.

Keep your clothes and your weapons where you can find them in the dark (Heinlein).

The government does not have any money except what they take from you.

TANSTAAFL (Heinlein)

When someone says, “It’s not fair,” hide your wallet.

Envy suckles evil.

You cannot get along with animals, people, sects, religions, or countries that do not want to get along with you.

By their fruits shall ye know them. (Yes, we are looking at you, San Francisco.)

If someone does something evil, it is best to assume they are evil until you have solid evidence otherwise.

Evil is evil, even if you do it.

Enabling evil will not cure it.

Remember, it’s “cruel and unusual” not “cruel or unusual”
