I love Oklahoma. I can't help crying when I watch the news. I finally had to come out to the office to get away from it. We have family and friends in places not too far from Moore and Shawnee.
Still, I found myself thinking through the tears, "Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain -- sometimes really, really fast."
I think the ones that got to me the most were the teachers who tried to shield their students. It would make me cry anyway, but my granddaughter will start her college courses for teaching this fall. Meanwhile she works at a daycare. I hope she is never in that situation because her own safety would never cross her mind. She'd do what she had to to save "her" kids.

I am glad that you also read Mrs. Voskamp. I go there every day, and always find something wonderful.
